Intensive Pottery Week - Marbling and Colored Clays

Intensive Pottery Week - Marbling and Colored Clays

For the very first time, we are offering a course in marbling and the use of colored earths during filming with Christina who herself uses this technique in her production.

Learn how to incorporate color into your clay, prepare it for throwing, and how to make beautiful pieces with your colored clay. For this class, we will use 2 types of clay (white and dark beige) as well as black, blue, and lavender color pigments.

This level 2 course is aimed at students who have already taken at least one session of pottery classes and are comfortable with throwing.

WHEN:
This session has passed. Feel free to sign up for the waiting list to receive an alert when it is offered again. The waiting list also allows us to gauge interest in offering the course again.

To take full advantage of your course

We recommend that you arrive a few minutes before class starts and wait in our café area. Take the opportunity to grab a bite to eat or order a coffee if you wish! You will be able to enter the studio at the scheduled time of your lesson.

This pottery class is for adults only (teenagers aged 13 and over are accepted if accompanied by an adult). For the little ones, check out our workshops for children or parent-child!

Some recommendations before making pottery

  • Have short fingernails
  • Do not wear rings, bracelets or watches
  • Wear clothes and shoes suitable for a workshop. It is recommended to bring an apron or cloths to dry your hands
  • Clean your hands when entering the workshop
  • Thoroughly clean the equipment you will use during lessons

Firing of the pieces after the lesson

You will receive an email approximately 4 weeks after your last class, when your ceramic pieces will be ready. As our emails often end up in spams folder, add us to your contacts so you don't miss it!

It may happen that a piece breaks during firing, because ceramics is a complex art that involves several risks throughout the process. If your part did not survive the process, unfortunately we do not offer replacement or re-course.

Policies and change of dates

A minimum of 6 registrations is required for sessions to take place. We do not issue refunds unless canceled by Les Faiseurs.

It is your responsibility to attend all classes. If you must be absent, we will try to accommodate you, but unfortunately, it is often impossible to offer you a make-up session as the majority of our groups are full. For short sessions, it is essential to attend all classes.

To reschedule a class session, you must notify us more than one week before the start of the session so that we can put the spot back on sale. Rescheduling or cancellations are not possible within one week of the start of the session or after it has already started.
