Private Event - Introduction to Pottery

Private Event - Introduction to Pottery

Want to try an original activity for a team building, a birthday, a special occasion or an outing with friends?

We offer private events including an introductory pottery workshop lasting 2.5 hours.

We have 8 pottery wheels per space, so we accommodate groups of up to 8 people at a time. Depending on the schedule, it is sometimes possible to reserve both premises and therefore organize an activity for up to 16 people.

Contact us by email to discuss your event, mentioning the number of participants and the dates or time slots that would suit you best. Note that it is ideal to contact us at least 1 month in advance to book a private event.

Procedure

This is generally how the initiation to pottery workshop takes place. Keep in mind that each teacher is different and adapts the teaching to the group.

- Welcome and explanations of the pottery process (≈15 min)

- Kneading the clay (≈10 min)

- Detailed demonstration by the teacher (≈25 min)

- Introduction to the potter's wheel for all participants. Generally, each person can do 3 to 4 trials. The teacher goes around to help you. It's not as easy as it sounds. (≈60 to 75 mins)

- Choice of a favorite piece per person

- Cleaning of towers and equipment used (≈20 min). And yes, pottery is messy and cleaning up is part of the experience!

To fully enjoy your workshop

We recommend that you arrive a few minutes before class starts and wait in our café area. Take the opportunity to grab a bite to eat or order a coffee if you wish! You will be able to enter the studio at the scheduled time of your lesson.

This pottery class is for adults only (teenagers aged 13 and over are accepted if accompanied by an adult). For the little ones, check out our workshops for children or parent-child!

Policies and change of dates

We do not provide any refunds except in the event of cancellation by Les Faiseurs.

If you are unable to attend the date chosen for your workshop, please notify us by email at least one week in advance in order to move your workshop free of charge. A fee of $15 per person will apply for any transfer requested less than 7 days in advance, but more than 48 hours for introductory pottery workshops. For introductory ceramics days, the fee will be $30.

If you have to cancel with less than 48 hours notice, it will unfortunately not be possible to move or refund your workshop. We recommend that you try to find someone in your circle to take your place if this is the case.

A minimum of 4 registrations is required for the course to take place.
